If you are looking for help and support in your decision to breastfeed, or if you are pregnant and are considering breastfeeding, you've come to the right place!
La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. All breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or to call our Leaders for breastfeeding help.

Meetings
Babies, toddlers, and older children are always welcome at our meetings. We hold monthly breastfeeding-focused meetings in Ridgecrest at the Nursery at Grace Lutheran Church, corner of Norma and Las Flores.
Meetings are held the third Wednesday of the month at 9:30 am.
A free lending library is available at both morning and evening meetings with many interesting titles on pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and childrearing.
Series Meetings
Meetings will have the following general topics of discussion:
- September - Benefits of Breastfeeding
- October - The Baby Arrives
- November - Overcoming Obstacles
- December - Nutrition and Weaning

Leaders
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who are accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. La Leche League Leaders are available for phone calls or emails regarding meeting information and whenever you have breastfeeding questions.

Annual dues bring you:
- Six bi-monthly issues of New Beginnings, a magazine filled with stories, hints, and inspiration from other breastfeeding families.
- Our LLLI Catalogues by mail. You are entitled to a 10% discount on most purchases from LLLI's wide variety of outstanding books and publications on breastfeeding, childbirth, nutrition, and parenting.
- Dues also support local, national, and international La Leche League activities.
A one-year membership is $40. Please call our treasurer, Marla, at 384-1229 to arrange payment or simply bring a check to any meeting. Be sure to enclose an address for your NEW BEGINNINGS subscription. Make checks payable to La Leche League of Ridgecrest. We do have scholarship memberships available; we don't want to turn anyone away for lack of funds, so please inquire if you're interested.
